Approximate Insulin Syringe Reference

When a 10 mg vial is reconstituted with 2 mL bacteriostatic water:

• 10 units = approximately 500 mcg
• 20 units = approximately 1 mg
• 35 units = approximately 1.75 mg

A 10 mg vial therefore contains approximately 5 full 1.75 mg portions, with a small amount remaining.
